TRAVEL ALERT – SA Airlink suspends flights (Johannesburg/Mthatha)

SA AIRLINK – FLIGHTS SUSPENDED

JOHANNESBURG – MTHATHA

Following a negative audit rating received from the Civil Aviation Authority, Mthatha Airport has been downgraded with effect from 25 January 2019.

As a result of the airport downgrading, SA Airlink have suspended all flights between Johannesburg and Mthatha.

The airline has confirmed that tickets held on this route are eligible for refund. Tickets booked for travel on 25, 26 & 27 January 2019 can be re-issued to East London Airport at no additional cost.

In the interim, the airline has stated that they are working with the Eastern Cape Provincial authorities to find a speedy resolution to the situation.

Travellers with tickets booked on this route are encouraged to contact your Rennies Travel consultant to make alternate arrangements.
