FLYSAFAIR
Air France KLM and FlySafair have entered into an interline agreement – a first for FlySafair and one that comes in addition to the legacy carrier’s existing interline with South African Airways (SAA) and codeshare agreement with kulula.com.
The agreement allows travel agents to issue just one ticket for both airline sectors. The ability to purchase both tickets together is also a major benefit for travellers who no longer need to worry about forfeiting their domestic flight booking should their inbound flight be delayed. The agreement also means that travellers can connect from FlySafair’s domestic flights on to Air France and KLM flights into Europe and onwards without having to gather their luggage and check-in again.

LAM MOZAMBIQUE AIRLINES
LAM Mozambique Airlines will launch a new direct service between Johannesburg and Tete on 3 February, operating on Sundays and Wednesdays.
The carrier also introduced direct services from Tete to other destinations including Beira, serviced every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and Pemba, serviced on Monday and Fridays. There will also be a direct service between Beira and Quelimane on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Beira-Nampula route will receive an additional flight on Tuesdays.

UNITED KINGDOM
It remains unclear whether British passport holders will have to start applying for Schengen visas if the UK leaves the EU without a deal on 29 March.
However, in preparation for a no-deal Brexit, the UK government is advising clients travelling on British passports to Schengen countries after 30 March to ensure their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in the EU.
