Livingstone Island Closure

Livingstone Island will close on the 1st of May as the water levels in the Zambezi continue to rise.
Livingstone Island sits on the lip of the Victoria Falls and during low water seasons, it is easily accessible by boat. However, island activities are seasonal and due to the sheer volume of water pouring over the waterfall, Devils Pool and Island Tours will be closed from the 1st of May until the water levels recede.
There are other experiences that offer a unique perspective of the waterfall with an element of excitement – take a helicopter flight to view the enormity of the spray from a birds eye view, or go on a full moon tour to discover the elusive lunar rainbow.

Inside the Rainforest

During the high water season, an estimated 500 million liters of water flows over the Victoria Falls every minute.
Plumes of mist burst into the rainforest, drenching and exciting all visitors. Now is the perfect time to appreciate the momentous impact of the ‘Smoke that Thunders’ on a guided tour around this natural wonder. It is a spectacular sight that brings with it once-in-a-lifetime sensations.
