ISIBINDI ZULU LODGE – IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The End Of An Era!

It is with sadness that we advise that the lease that we hold over Isibindi Zulu Lodge has been sold.

We will continue to operate the lodge until the end of 2019, however, we are not taking any new bookings from 1 January 2019.

We will continue to take new bookings up to 31 December 2018.

All 2019 bookings will be honoured but we are not accepting new bookings.

Please be assured that your guest experience will not be compromised in any way by these developments in fact they should be enhanced by the fact that some exciting new species of animals are being introduced to the reserve which should make the game drives really interesting.

This has not been a decision that has come easily to Brett and Paige Gehren, the founders of Isibindi Africa Lodges, as it was on the banks of the Isibindi River that they first dreamt of creating what has become Isibindi today. As this was the family farm where Brett and his parents built the first lodge it holds many fond memories but good sense had to prevail. Since Brett’s father passed away in April 2017 it was becoming increasingly difficult to manage the reserve remotely.

When a guest visiting the reserve recently fell in love with the property and expressed an interest in acquiring it the family decided after much consideration that the time had come to hand over the custodianship of this beautiful piece of Africa and its very special little lodge to new owners.
