First, the more modern 14 “Afri-chique” en-suite bedrooms, each with their own private veranda’s. These also include one wheelchair friendly room. Secondly, there is Airlies Historic House.
This Scottish heritage house was built in the early 1900’s and has beautifully preserved, lead glass doors and high pressed ceilings. Airlies offers 6 unique en-suite rooms in the main house and 2 modern garden cottages. Guests will be able to enjoy High Tea with a fusion of the best Boer and Brit pastries at the Tea Room featured in Airlies.
Two swimming pools complement the large 1-acre property, featuring ample communal open spaces and manicured gardens with breath-taking views of the Langeberg mountains.
Since Monte Vista Boutique Hotel is situated on the historical Church street, guests are within walking distance from fine restaurants, art galleries and museums.
Montagu is situated 180 kilometres east of Cape Town on the internationally renowned Route 62 wine route, leading to Oudtshoorn. Also known as the ‘mountain mecca’ of the Cape, Montagu lies surrounded by the Langeberg mountain range nestled between the Keisie and Kingna Rivers and is famous for her orchards, vineyards, local herbs, rock formations and healing hot mineral springs.
