Simbavati Safari Lodges Update

To our valued trade partners

We trust our email finds you in good health and in good spirits.

First of all, we would like to thank you, our loyal and most valuable partners, for your unwavering support and encouragement during the last few months. It has been a challenging time for all, but spring has arrived and along with the bright, sunny days, a renewed sense of hope and enthusiasm has blossomed, as we’ve welcomed back guests and enjoyed the first month of operation since the national lockdown was announced at the end of March 2020.

For Simbavati, the new season not only brings a change in temperature but also some very exciting developments within our portfolio. We are delighted to announce that our first property in the Klaserie Private Game Reserve – Simbavati Camp George – will open its doors on 15 September 2020 after a multi-million Rand renovation last year. The next addition to our portfolio is Camp George’s neighbour: Simbavati Amani, which is now open for reservations, and ready to receive guests on 01 December 2020 under the management of Simbavati Safari Lodges.

Other news in the portfolio is that Simbavati River Lodge has a new and improved look with a paint update and a fully revamped kitchen, with Simbavati Hilltop Lodge also enjoying some TLC with various maintenance and fresh decorative enhancements.

We are sad to bid farewell to Simbavati Machaton Camp, which will no longer be part of our collection; the lodge owners have decided to use the property for private purposes. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with Machaton and thank you for your support in helping us promote the camp. In our efforts to minimise inconvenience to you and your clients, existing reservations will be accommodated in our other Safari Lodges, with the guarantee of the same level of service excellence and standards we are known for. Our Reservations Team will make contact regarding all impacted bookings in due course.
