BELGIUM
Air traffic controllers are currently engaged in a dispute with their employing body and as a result they have a strike notice running until 23 March. While their union says this will result in “relatively small disturbances” for passengers and cargo, it has been reported that moderate delays have been recorded in Belgian airspace.

INDIA
Debt-ridden Jet Airways’ pilots have threatened to stop flying from 01 April after failing to get proper clarity from the airline on salary payments and other issues of concern.

ITALY
Strike action by airport staff, as well as Alitalia staff, on 25 March from 10:00 – 14:00 may impact flights and airport services across Italy.
On 13 April, airport staff at Milan airports will be participating in a 24-hour strike from 00:00 to 23:59.
Travellers are advised to check their flight status and allow additional time for check-in on these days.

UNITED KINGDOM
Virgin Atlantic cabin crew are threatening to walk out over the busy Easter period over pay and benefit issues. The airline is currently in negotiation with the cabin crew’s representative union, Unite over the issue.
