Travel Alert – Germany, Italy and Scotland

GERMANY
Berlin’s public transport system will come to a halt on Monday, 01 April as employees plan to strike for the whole day. Passengers who use buses, underground trains (U-Bahn) and trams will be affected while S-Bahn lines are not directly affected because these trains belong to the operator Deutsche Bahn. Regional trains will also not be affected. S-Bahn services and regional trains however are expected to be over-crowded as people flock to them during the strike.

ITALY
Some airport personnel in Milan Airports will embark on a 24-hour strike on 13 April from 00:00 to 23:59. Affected airports are Milan-Malpensa, Milan-Linate, Pisa and Florence. Travellers commuting through these airports are advised to check on flight schedules closer to day.

SCOTLAND
