Meanwhile, SAA, Mango Airlines and Airlink have issued a contingency flight schedule aimed at mitigating the impact of the suspension of SA Express services and to ensure business continuity for SA Express. In addition, SAA has announced that:

  • SAA will rebook, reroute or refund passengers whose travel plans have changed due to suspension of SA Express flights.
  • Passengers on SA-coded tickets and SA codeshare will be accommodated on a priority basis.
  • SAA will, in accordance with its compensation policy, compensate all passengers where applicable.
  • SAA says it will provide regular updates on the situation, using all its official communication channels.

NOTE TO SA EXPRESS TRAVELLERS – Please be in contact with your travel consultant as they will assist with the specific alternate flight information from SAA, Mango and Airlink’s contingency plan mentioned above. This plan covers alternate flight arrangements for SA Express up until 24 June – flight arrangements beyond this date will be advised in due course.
